We almost didn’t share this. Our strict no-screenshot policy exists to encourage exploration through photojournalism, but this Pissoir Ecke is simply too special to not share. There’s also a very real chance it’s no longer with us. Hooters Hamburg is currently undergoing renovations following a fire, and the fate of these porcelain icons remains unknown. This story was brought to us by our tireless beat reporter @ruthweissmann who after failing to capture the scene in person took to Reddit in search of evidence. What she uncovered was nothing short of extraordinary: this image, accompanied by some insightful discourse around the logistics of its intended use.
