In Berlin, the more things change, the more they stay the same. We’re happy to report that yet another Pissoir Ecke has survived a full interior renovation. We last documented this PE on April 17, 2023 back when the bar was called Kapitel 21. In the classical Berlin style it was all stickers and dirty tiles. Now the bar is under new ownership and has rebranded as “Gravity”. We were skeptical and even a little afraid to visit and to see what’s inside. Imagine our delight then to see that despite the modernization, history was honored by preserving the original porcelain unit. While the red paint does mask the rich historical context the community created using stickers, we’re ok with it and kinda dig the new Lynchian vibe!
